Lucky A Ranch Inc, Alpine This small sanctuary, located in the white mountains in Alpine Arizona, is home to 25 donkeys and assorted other rescued animals. The staff bend over backwards to help these animals and the sanctuary has now gained non profit status. Zen Donkey Rescue, Tuscon Zen Donkey Rescue is an Arizona off the grid ranch just outside of Tucson and welcomes visitors and adopters. They network actively with Peaceful Valley Donkey rescue although they are an independent non-profit organization. In Need of a Friend Animal Rescue, West Antelope Valley We are dedicated to the rescue, protection, and rehabilitation of abused, neglected, and unwanted domestic animals such as donkeys,mules, horses, pigs, and goats. We also provide information to educate the public about the plight of domestic animals especially during these trying times of so many surplus animals needing care and rehoming.
The Wild Burro Rescue and Preservation Project is dedicated to the live capture-rescue, rehabilitation and lifelong care of otherwise doomed Wild Burros. The Sanctuary is home to 215 wild burros (donkeys), mules, horses, dogs, cats and lots of wildlife and is located on 130 acres in the High Sierras on the foothill of Mount Whitney on Highway 395.

Barn Sanctuary, Chelsea Barn Sanctuary at McKernan Farm provides rescue and shelter to horses, donkeys, cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, sheep, goats and rabbits who have been rescued from cases of abuse, abandonment and natural disasters. The farm’s mission is to “educate the general public about the horrific treatment of animals raised for food, and the positive impact that a plant-based diet can have on the environment and our health”. M&MS Farms, Williamston Make a day trip to the farm, taking a tour of the paddocks, meeting the animals and riding in a cart with a driver or on a horse’s back. Becky’s Hope Horse Rescue, Frisco Set in 120 beautiful acres in Frisco, Texas, Becky’s Hope is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of abused, neglected and abandoned horses, donkeys and other animals. They also work to educate the public and potential equine adopters regarding responsible care. Open Monday – Friday 9am – 1pm & 6pm – 8pm. Closed Sundays.
TMR Rescue is home to almost 400 rescued donkeys, mules, and horses, both wild and domestic. The Texas Miracle Ranch is on a mission to change long held misconceptions about longears, and give them back their rightful place in the history books. They provide veterinary care, nutrition and rehabilitation, as well as the love and compassion that some of them have never known.
