Beyond the Tall Grass

Pioneers on their way to the Oregon Territory are forced to leave many of their priceless possessions along a wagon trail at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. When the trail is abandoned, the powerful dreams and emotions tied up in these lost treasures cause a great rift, and all the artifacts and prairie animals in the vicinity vanish. Inside this other dimension, the two animals find a storybook world and are transformed into creatures who think and speak like the pioneers who migrated along the same trail. Explore this "Enchantment" with "Billy Bones" and learn of his unique psychic powers. Run with the dog and the deer in the exciting races during the Grand Fair and take sides when a rising controversy concerning the ancient human artifacts threatens to tear the little society apart.

Stephen King in this book has partnered with Joe Hill and that proved to be a very lethal combination. Stephen King with his ideas and imagination steal the show while Joe Hill was no less when it comes to the characterization of all the main characters in this horror story. In the Tall Grass is a story of a brother and sister who were just going by the road when a young boy cry made them pull off to the side of the road. He was crying for help from beyond the tall grass by the side of the road. Within no time, both the brother and sister and brother were disoriented and soon they both lost each other. It is also the time when the cry of the young boy became even more desperate for help. The real story and the horrifying events started to occur after that and that is the true soul of the story which the Stephen King and Joe Hill combo have beautifully delivered.
