Her other major world is much like our own, but includes covert populations of mages, vampires, elves, and other mythological beings. She is also a proficient lyricist and an approved Wild bird rehabilitator. Mercedes Lackey lives in Oklahoma with her spouse and regular collaborator, Larry Dixon, and their parrots.
