RB-81 II Bookshelf Speaker
For people who like to party hard and fill their place with bass, these big boys are ready to to audition. And at almost 14kg each, they're more likely to bow your bookshelf than sit happily upon it. If the first item on your 'new speakers checklist' is 'borderline-frightening looks', these American bruisers will go straight to the top of the pile. A very obvious agenda Despite the expanse of plastic across the face and the rather prosaic vinyl-wrap finish, these are fairly expensive speakers — and they're also speakers with a very obvious agenda. Make no mistake, the Klipsch RBs have come to party, and they've come to take you with them.
Return of the bodacious woofer. It's been years since I've reviewed a two-way design with a great big 8-inch woofer. The very concept brought on one of my increasingly frequent bouts of nostalgia. The store where hi-fi as it was known then first seduced me was blocks from my college dorm. One of the salespeople there was a fellow student, and, 30 years later, we are still the best of friends.

Awesome clear sound and bass for a bookshelf. Really can feel the highs, mids and lows easily. You would really have to be spending about 4 times more to get something better. Excellent speakers. Separation and clarity of bass and treble much better than my old speakers. Very easy to set up.
