The Ballad of Buster Scruggs - Official Trailer [HD] - Netflix

Simon Pulse, [p] Trade ed. As Gavin relates his experiences through four years of high school, his narration is characterized by simple, straightforward sentences that flatten out even intense affects like the anger he feels for his father, or the confused mix of emotions that accompany his first experiences with love, sex, and his loss of friends and status after an ill-advised kiss.

Blake Nelson

Blake Nelson [1] is an American author of adult and children's literature. Nelson began his career writing short humor pieces for Details magazine in the mid-'90s. His first novel Girl was excerpted in Sassy in three successive issues. The novel, about skateboarding teenagers, won the prestigious Grinzane Cavour Prize in Italy. A sequel to his first novel Girl , Dream School was released in December and follows the protagonist, Andrea Marr, to Wellington College, an eastern liberal-arts college modeled on Wesleyan, Nelson's alma mater. His latest adult novel The Red Pill describes how a liberal forty-year-old advertising executive is slowly sucked into alt-right circles after accepting dating advice from his conservative brother in law. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Thank you! An affluent white teenage boy begins to question his place in his peer group after an odd new girl challenges his assumptions. She had a plan…and the rest of it: high school, social life, teachers, parents…it was just noise to her. But can Antoinette ever be in love with someone like him? While references to Facebook may seem dated, Nelson gives a nod to the current cultural context when Gavin tries to photograph an angry protest that erupts as a result of a police shooting of an African-American teenager. The bildungsroman never goes out of style, and Nelson still executes it well, if predictably.

Every school has them: the cool kids. The insiders.
