Speaker Shootout: Wharfedale Diamond 11.1 vs. ELAC Uni-Fi UB5
Review: Wharfedale Diamond 210 Bookshelf Speakers
Having ironed out the creases of their predecessors, the s really are hard to fault. Wharfedale took our one grumble a poor finish about the mainly superb Diamond s on the chin and rectified it in their replacement, the Diamond s. The result? A brilliant-sounding speaker with a neat design that also became an Award-winner, ending the two-year reign of the Q Acoustic is. The s are the replacement for the hugely talented s, but while they look quite similar there are some important changes.

As a last resort, I took down the Radio Shack minis that I had on my workshop walls. I placed them on top of a pair of floorstanders, connected them up and played a track. Man, were they ghastly. Bass was woolly, midrange dull and treble almost non-existent. They had to go.
