Reddit – The list of the best learning and educational subreddits

The next time you're looking for book recommendations, hop on Reddit. The "front page of the Internet" has some great communities where readers can share their favorite titles and request readalikes from other book nerds. To show you how the site can be a fantastic resource for bookaholics, I've got 15 nonfiction reading recommendations pulled from Reddit for you to scan through below. I know that Reddit can be a threatening, soul-sucking place for people who aren't cishet white men, but the site's book nerd community has been more than welcoming, in my experience. There are way too many book-related subreddits to list here, but if none of the above interests you, trust me, there are tons more to choose from.

The list of the best learning and educational subreddits

There are certain books that feel almost inherently "classic. Catcher in the Rye. Moby freaking Dick. But do you ever wonder what the world thought when these books first hit shelves? Who was the initial voice that pointed to their covers and said, "You - you're special"? We regard " classics books " with a level of veneration that is not afforded to so many other works.

Assertiveness Training suggests that there are essentially three different ways that people can relate to one another. They can be: 1 aggressive, 2 passive or 3 assertive. Most people come to assertiveness training already understanding what aggression and passivity mean, but they don't understand assertiveness at all, at first. Aggression is about dominance. A person is aggressive when they impose their will onto another person and force them to submit, in effect invading that person's personal space and boundary. Violence may be used in this effort, but it is not a necessary component of aggression. Passivity, on the other hand is about submission.

Motivation is bullshit. If a person wants more will power and drive they'll often pick it up naturally after learning to be more assertive in.

Reddit is one of the most popular social news aggregators, online community forums and discussion-rating websites. I visit Reddit only approximately once a month to skim the most popular posts and feel the pulse of different communities. Today I strive to get the most out of my learning time by reading books and through deliberate practice here you can find a guide on how to learn. Next to that, there are hundreds of new articles published every day, which can make you very nervous if you are a perfectionist who would like to read everything in your newsfeed. In spite of that, Reddit is one of the few social networks that has really useful subreddits and can be worth your time, if you know how to use it in a productive way. Each subreddit has its own moderators and the subpage is designed slightly differently from the others while the general Reddit layout is the same.
