Molecular theory of gases and liquids
A microscopic theory of scattering of light from liquids is developed. The analogy between the spectral intensity of scattered light and the differential cross secion of neutron scattering is examined. The result is shown as a generalized form of the Landau-Placzek theory and expressed in terms of multiple space-time correlation functions.
