Saxon Grammar and Writing Grade 4 Teacher Guide

Developed to follow the classic Saxon model of incremental development and continuous review, Saxon's Grammar and Writing is a comprehensive English language curriculum that incorporates grammar, writing, spelling, and vocabulary development. Core-knowledge content, such as history, geography, science, and literature, is also embedded in the curriculum. Topics covered in this Grade 4 curriculum include: types of sentences, capitalization, subject and predicate, the predicate nominative, indirect objects, phrases and clauses, proper adjectives, appositives, progressive verbs, antecedents, and more. This kit includes a Student Textbook with approximately lessons, a Student Workbook, and a Teacher's Guide that includes answer keys and tests. The program consists of daily lessons, review sets, and tests that are sequenced to build skills and concepts. The Student Text is written directly to the student and provides instruction on key grammar and usage concepts with bolded words and examples; writing exercises are given daily.
